Gym progress getting affected badly
Hello! So I (22f) had been going to gym somewhat consistently since the summer of last year and making progress gradually in terms of strength etc. I never liked cardio but included 20-30 min of treadmill on some days and went for swimming and did around 6 laps in each session. However, I started getting palpitations around June, then my energy started to feel so low during June that I started skipping gym and thought it was probably because of the extremely humid weather. I was sleeping a lot more than usual (normally my anxiety disorder gives me insomnia and I have to tire myself out completely or take melatonin to fall and stay asleep) which was around 10-11 hours. Then in mid July I experienced shortness of breath to the point that I thought I'd die and couldn't sleep because of it one night. Didn't figure out why but the same week my sister told me that the skin under my feet looked very pale and I should get tested for iron deficiency. I did and turns out my iron was pretty low. It explained everything. I resumed taking the supplements I was recommended by a doctor 3 years ago because of my low haemoglobin (I was struggling with covid recovery and he said low hb was the reason).
But it's been 2 months almost since I started supplementing and I'm still struggling so much at gym I feel really sad. I did one lap in swimming the other day and I my heartbeat was so fast I felt like my heart will jump out. I don't feel like walking on treadmill at a fast pace for more than 5 minutes and my strength has dropped too. I've been giving myself time and taking it slow but at this point I just feel quite down. So any gym rats/athletes here with similar experiences of anemia, how long does it take to be normal again via supplementing?
Attaching a screenshot of my test report for reference.
